During this lecture, participants will learn about the etiology and pathophysiology of syncope in cats and dogs and how to differentiate syncope from seizures in general practice and ER. In addition, neurocardiogenic syncope and various types of cardiogenic syncope (tachyarrhythmias, bradyarrhythmias, pericardial effusion, pulmonary hypertension etc.) will be reviewed, along with options for further diagnostics and treatment.
