NVA General Practice Mentor (Arizona, California)
National Veterinary Associates (NVA)
Dr. Neuman was raised on a farm in North Dakota, but her path to veterinary medicine was not direct. She earned an English degree, worked at a theme park, managed a movie theater, and then adopted a cat with serious medical issues. It was then she discovered her passion for helping pets and their people. She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and began her career as an emergency clinician in Tucson, Arizona. In the past 20 years, she has been an associate, a medical director, a two-time practice owner, and she joined the GP Mentor team in 2022. Providing relief services in the southern Arizona community has deepened her commitment to the people of veterinary medicine through offering mentorship, providing learning opportunities, and focusing on veterinary team wellbeing. She doesn’t remember a time when her house wasn’t under construction, but she shares it happily with her husband of 20+ years, three amazing children, two dogs, four cats, and a revolving door of foster pets. She still loves the movies but prefers to relax with a good book when there is time.
