Veterinarian/Owner/Creator
People + Pet Integrative Therapies
Dr. Nell Ostermeier grew up on a farm in Illinois and attended the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in 2004 and immediately moved to take her first associate position at a small animal/exotic companion animal hospital in Southern California. In 2007, Nell and her husband decided it was time for a change, so they moved to Oregon and opened their own practice. In 2010, Nell attended the IVAS acupuncture course, completed certification, and began integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) into her patient's treatment plans. The results were amazing! So, she became passionate about learning more and sharing more about this amazing modality with her peers. Nell is an instructor for the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and lectures for various conferences and organizations. She has created her own online, interactive education programs for integrative vets and hosts the private veterinarian-only Facebook group "Every Day Acupuncture for Veterinarians." She loves to be outdoors and to spend time with her husband, especially traveling and eating!
