Clinical Associate Professor

After serving as a resident at the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, Dr. Justin Heinz has joined the Department of Veterinary Small Animal Clinical Sciences (VSCS) as a clinical associate professor of emergency and critical care. Dr. Heinz obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University and went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at Louisiana State University, followed by his residency in emergency and critical care at Texas A&M University. He also is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. His areas of interest include sepsis, immunothrombosis, transfusion medicine, acute kidney injury and renal replacement therapies, and cardiopulmonary resucitation and aftercare.
