Alexandra Apgar-Arpin, DVM, MPH

Veterinary Medical Officer
USDA

Dr. Apgar-Arpin, an animal science graduate from Oklahoma State University (2016), earned her DVM from Kansas State University (2020). After interning with the U.S. Department of Agriculture during veterinary school, she joined Veterinary Services as a field Veterinary Medical Officer in Central Texas. She completed an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2023. Her interests include epidemiology, One Health, and zoonotic and emerging diseases. In her free time, she enjoys riding horses, skiing, and spending time with her husband, David, and dog, Maya.
