Sharman Hoppes, DVM, DABVP (Avian Practice)

Veterinarian
Texas Avian & Exotic Hospital

Sharman Hoppes graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1993 and competed a residency in Avian medicine and surgery in 1999. She is an ABVP diplomate in avian medicine. She is professor emerita at Texas A&M Univeristy in zoological medicine. Dr Hoppes continues to work with the Schubot Exotic Bird Health Center and the Winnie Carter Wildlife Center at Texas A&M and also mentors prevet and veterinary students. Dr Hoppes has lectured world wide on avian and exotic pet medicine. She is currently the owner of Texas Avian & Exotic Hosptital in Grapevine Texas, one of the largest all exotic hospitals in the state. She is a former president of the Association of avina veterinarians and the recent recipient of the Lafeber Avian Practitioner of the year award.
