Originally from north Louisiana, Dr. Piper Norton is an LSU SVM grad of 2007. Following graduation, she completed an internship at Elgin Veterinary Hospital and stayed on as an associate. She then was awarded a large animal internal medicine residency at Texas A&M CVM under the mentorship of Drs. Keith Chaffin, Tracy Norman, and Kent Carter. She later began her own equine ambulatory practice based out of Austin with a focus on internal medicine, Texas Equine Medical Associates. As a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, she strives to provide efficient high quality medicine stall side. Some of her interests include neonatal medicine, nasopharyngeal cicatrix, chronic colic, and the use of an ultrasound for nearly any condition.
