Monitoring anesthesia can be a daunting task, this lecture will guide you through the basic principles of monitoring a patient under general anesthesia. We will review normal parameters for the following ECG, noninvasive blood pressure, pulse oximetry, capnography, and temperature. As well as discuss abnormal values and treatments that can be implemented to stabilize the patient.
