Canine mast cell tumors are the most common skin tumor in dogs. There is an abundant amount of information available to help predict the behavior. We will discuss how to combine the assessment of the mass on the patient with the biopsy results and how best to proceed with staging for an individual case. Based on the combination of this data, we will review options for mast cell tumor treatment. We will discuss novel treatment options for canine mast cell tumors and when to consider their application.
